MMC Sentinel is an evidence-led observatory of the industrialisation of shelter and the built environment. It is not a prefab news site, directory, advocacy portal, or generic construction dashboard.
Construction is moving from site-based craft production toward digitally coordinated manufacturing, assembly and operation. The platform monitors where that is happening, how quickly, who is leading, which factories are real, and whether local gains simply externalise cost, energy, waste and ecological damage.
It sits inside OneNetwork and inherits its primitives: entity, observation, evidence, provenance, method, IntelligenceObject, validation, confidence, permissions, decision, outcome, learning.
The Negawatt philosophy applies: useful human outcomes should increase while irreversible resource and energy throughput decreases. A Negotrope is an intervention that can be observed, evidenced and potentially registered because it measurably increases useful order.
Independence
The observatory should be willing to say that a factory never opened, that claimed capacity is unsupported, that a project delivered fewer units than announced, that a technology increased transport energy. There is no ideological preference for local, offshore, timber, steel, concrete, modular or conventional.
